This page explains how to delete your account for Underneath, a food label scanning application operated by Thanos Rokkas, and what data is deleted or kept when you do.

How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: In the App
- Open the Underneath app.
- Go to your Profile.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Your account and associated data are deleted immediately.
Option 2: By Email
Send a request to thanosrokkas@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. Email requests are processed within 30 days.
What Is Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed through a cascading delete:
- Your account and profile
- Health and diet preferences synced to our servers
- Subscription records
- Referral records
- Scan history tied to your user ID
Local data stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.
What Is Kept
- Anonymized cached product data (barcodes, product names, and health scores) that is not linked to you. This non-personal data is retained to keep the service fast for all users.
- Minimal records required to meet legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations, where applicable. No additional retention period applies beyond that.
